Getting There

Bicycle

From Fort Portal, start at the main roundabout in the center of town. Head northeast on the A109 road towards the direction of Kamwenge. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see a sign for Kibale National Park on your left. Follow the signs to enter the park. The ride is scenic, and you may encounter local villages along the way.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

Find a boda boda stand in Fort Portal, preferably near the main market or the town center. Ask the driver to take you to Kibale National Park. The journey typically takes about 30 minutes. You will head out of Fort Portal on the A109 road. Make sure to confirm the price before you set off. The driver will be familiar with the route and can drop you off at the park entrance.
Public Transportation (Matatu)

Locate the matatu (shared taxi) station in Fort Portal, usually near the main market. Look for a matatu heading towards Kamwenge or directly to Kibale. The fare is affordable, and the journey takes about an hour. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Kibale National Park. You will be dropped at a point where you can walk to the park entrance, which is about 1 kilometer away.
