Look for signs directing you towards the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary as Turaco Trails is nearby. Once in Bigodi, follow local signage or ask locals for directions as the exact site is less than 5 minutes away from the main road.
Public Transportation (Taxi/Boda Boda)
To reach Turaco Trails by public transport, you can take a taxi (shared minibus) from major towns like Fort Portal or Kamwenge heading towards Bigodi. Once you arrive in Bigodi, you can either walk to Turaco Trails, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the main road, or you can hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you directly to the location. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting the ride, which should typically be around 1,000 - 3,000 UGX depending on your negotiation skills.
