Car
From the western region, take the main road leading towards Kampala. Drive on the Mbarara-Kampala road until you reach the turnoff for Entebbe. Follow the signs to Entebbe, which will lead you onto the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway. Continue on this road for approximately 35 kilometers. Once you reach Entebbe, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Equator, located at Entebbe Nakiwogo. The landmark is easily accessible and has a parking area nearby.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, head to the nearest taxi park in your area. Take a taxi bound for Kampala. Once you arrive in Kampala, switch to a taxi heading to Entebbe. The ride should take about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Tell the driver you want to go to the Equator at Entebbe Nakiwogo. Upon arrival, there will be a small fee for entry to the Equator landmark area, usually around 2,000 UGX, so be prepared with cash.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
For a quicker and more adventurous route, you can use a boda boda from Entebbe town to the Equator landmark. After disembarking from the taxi, you can find boda boda riders near the taxi park. Agree on a fare before starting the ride; it should cost around 5,000-10,000 UGX. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
