Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Dragobrat. Head northeast on the main road until you reach the fork. Take the right fork towards the ski resorts. Continue on this road for about 5 km, where you'll find a parking area. Park your car here, as further access by vehicle is restricted. From the parking area, you will see a marked trail leading towards Mount Gendarme.
Hiking
From the parking area, follow the marked trail that leads to Mount Gendarme. The trail is well maintained and should take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the summit, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Yaremche to Dragobrat. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately 100 UAH. Once you arrive in Dragobrat, follow the same instructions as above for hiking to Mount Gendarme. Remember that public transport options may vary, so check the schedule in advance.
