Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Hoverla Mountain parking area. Head west on the road toward the village of Kruhlyi. After about 10 kilometers, you will reach the village. Continue driving until you see signs for the Austrian-Hungarian marker. There is a small parking area near the marker where you can leave your vehicle. The Austrian-Hungarian marker is approximately 1 km from the parking area, and it is accessible by a short hike.
Public Transportation
To reach the Austrian-Hungarian marker using public transportation, take a bus from Yaremche or Ivano-Frankivsk to Kruhlyi. The bus will drop you off in the village center. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to the marker, which is around 3 km away. If you choose to walk, follow the main road signs toward the marker. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
Hiking
For those already in the Hoverla Mountain area, you can hike to the Austrian-Hungarian marker by following the marked trails. Starting from the Hoverla hiking trail, head towards the south. The trail is well-maintained and takes approximately 2 hours to reach the marker. Ensure you have appropriate hiking gear and plenty of water, as the terrain can be steep.
