Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the central bus station (Avtovokzal), exit the station and head south on Shevchenka Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Victory Avenue (Peremohy Avenue). Turn left onto Victory Avenue and walk for about 500 meters. You will see Independence Square (Nezalezhnosti Square) on your right, marked by its prominent fountain and open space.

    If you are near the city center, you can take a local bus or trolleybus. Look for bus number 1 or trolleybus number 3, which will take you directly to Independence Square. Board the bus at the nearest stop, and stay on for about 10 minutes. The bus will make stops along the way; listen for the announcement or watch for the stop 'Nezalezhnosti Square', where you will disembark. From there, it is a short walk to the main area of the square.
