Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Trostyan, head northwest on Lvivska Street (E50) toward Striy. Continue on E50 for approximately 35 kilometers. When you reach the town of Skole, take the exit toward Skole (signs will guide you). Once in Skole, follow the local signs for Hurkalo waterfall, which is located about 10 kilometers northeast of the town center. You may need to park your car at the designated parking area near the trailhead, which is usually free of charge.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Hurkalo waterfall using public transport, start at the central bus station in Trostyan. Take a bus heading to Skole; the journey typically takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Skole, you can either walk (approximately 10 kilometers) or look for local taxis that can take you to the waterfall. Taxi fares can range from 100 to 150 UAH depending on negotiation and traffic conditions. If you choose to walk, be sure to follow the local signs directing you toward the waterfall.

• Walking

  If you're already in Skole and prefer to walk, head northeast from the town center. Follow the signs that indicate the trail to Hurkalo waterfall. The hike is approximately 10 kilometers and is well-marked. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the hike can take about 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace.
