Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
From the center of Vorokhta, head southeast on Ivana Franka Street towards the Prut River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the railway station. Turn right onto the road that runs parallel to the railway tracks. Follow this road for about 1 km until you see the Railway Bridge-Viaduct on your left, crossing over the Prut River. There is limited parking available along the roadside, so be cautious and park responsibly.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, take a local bus that heads towards Yaremche or Ivano-Frankivsk from Vorokhta's main bus station. The buses are frequent, but it's best to check the schedule. After approximately 10-15 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the stop near the railway tracks. From there, walk back towards the bridge; it should be visible from the bus stop. The bus fare is usually around 20 UAH ($0.75), and it may vary slightly based on your destination.
Walking
If you are staying in central Vorokhta, you can also walk to the Railway Bridge-Viaduct. Head southeast towards the Prut River, following the path along the riverbank. This scenic walk will take approximately 30 minutes. You will pass through lush greenery and may catch glimpses of local wildlife along the way. Once you reach the bridge, you'll be able to admire its impressive architecture and the beautiful views of the river.
