If you are starting from the city centre (Union Square), head east on Union Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of Union Street. Take the first exit onto King Street (A956) and follow it until you reach another roundabout. From there, take the second exit onto Beach Boulevard. Walk along Beach Boulevard, passing the beach esplanade, until you reach the beach itself. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take around 30 minutes.

From Union Square, take bus number 11, 13 or 15 towards the beach. Buses depart frequently; check the schedule at the bus station. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
