Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the city center of Aberdeen, head towards Union Square. From Union Square, take the exit towards Guild Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Market Street. Turn left onto Market Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Constitution Street. Continue along Constitution Street until you reach the next roundabout. Take the second exit onto East North Street, then continue onto the A944 (also known as the Great Northern Road). After about 1 mile, you will see signs for the Piper Alpha Memorial. The memorial is located in the vicinity of the beach area, specifically at the coordinates 57.1381° N, 2.1796° W. Look for the memorial within the park area.

  From the city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Union Street. Look for bus routes that head towards the beach area or specifically to the 'Piper Alpha Memorial' stop if available. Buses such as the 13 or 15 typically service this route. Board the bus and remain on it for approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'Piper Alpha Memorial' stop. From the bus stop, walk a short distance to the memorial, which is nearby.
