If you are traveling by car, start from Brechin town center. Head southwest on the A935 towards Montrose. Continue on the A935 for about 3 miles until you reach a junction. Turn left onto the B966, and follow the road for approximately 2 miles. Look for a sign for Invermark Castle and turn onto the unnamed road. Drive for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at Invermark Castle, which will be on your left. There is no parking on-site, so be mindful of where you leave your vehicle.

To reach Invermark Castle by public transport, start by taking a bus from Brechin to Edzell. The bus service is operated by Stagecoach, and buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive in Edzell, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to Invermark Castle, as there is no direct public transport to the castle itself. Taxis can usually be found near the bus stop, but it's a good idea to check in advance for availability. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes and may cost around £15-£20.

If you prefer to walk, there is a scenic route from Edzell to Invermark Castle. After arriving in Edzell, head southeast on the B966. Follow this road for about 2.5 miles, and then take a left onto the unnamed road leading to the castle.
