Start your journey at Bath Spa Railway Station. Exit the station and head towards the city center. Walk straight along Dorchester Street until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Manvers Street, then follow this road as it curves and becomes North Parade Road. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the A36 (Walcot Street). Cross the road and head down Walcot Street, which will lead you to a pedestrian path. Follow the signs towards the River Avon, and soon you will see the river on your right. Continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the Bathwick Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the path along the river until you come to the junction with Brassmill Lane. Turn left onto Brassmill Lane, and Weston Lock will be on your right at 22 Brassmill Lane.

From the city center, make your way to the bus stop located on Dorchester Street. Board the Number 1 bus towards Weston. The bus will take you through several stops. Disembark at the 'Brassmill Lane' stop. Once you get off, walk back towards the direction the bus came from on Brassmill Lane. Weston Lock will be located on your left at 22 Brassmill Lane.

If you have rented a bicycle, start at the city center and head towards the River Avon. Follow the cycle path along the river until you reach Bathwick Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue along the riverside path. After crossing the bridge, take the cycle path leading to Brassmill Lane.
