Moonlit Park, together with its adjoining Sunset Park, was created between 2005 and 2006 as part of a local regeneration initiative in Birmingham. The parks occupy previously underused land and were designed by the city council’s Landscape Practice Group to provide a versatile recreational space for the community. This dual park concept offers contrasting environments: Moonlit Park focuses on active play and natural meadows, while Sunset Park emphasizes open spaces and accessible pathways.

Moonlit Park is well equipped for family and community activities. It has children’s playgrounds featuring climbing frames and swings, alongside a basketball court for sports enthusiasts. The park also includes a wildflower meadow that supports local biodiversity and adds seasonal color and texture. A 1.4-kilometer walking loop trail circles the park, inviting visitors for exercise, jogging, or leisurely strolls.

The park is accessible via multiple entrances from surrounding roads such as Bell Barn Road and Mosedale Way. It features disabled access pathways to accommodate visitors with mobility needs.
