Getting There

• Bus

  From Birmingham city centre, head to the Birmingham Coach Station located on Mill Lane. Take a National Express coach heading to Stratford-upon-Avon. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Stratford-upon-Avon bus station, exit the station and walk towards Bridge Street. Continue along Bridge Street until you reach the junction with Sheep Street, then turn left. Follow Sheep Street as it leads you to the River Avon. Cross the river via the bridge and continue straight along the National Cycle Route 41 until you reach the Stratford Big Wheel, which will be on your right.

• Train

  From Birmingham New Street Station, take a train to Stratford-upon-Avon. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Stratford-upon-Avon train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Birmingham Road. Turn left and walk along Birmingham Road until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the National Cycle Route 41 and follow the signs. The Stratford Big Wheel will be a short walk along the cycle route on your left.

• Walking

  If you are near the city centre of Birmingham, you can opt for a long scenic walk to Stratford-upon-Avon. Navigate towards the Grand Union Canal, which is accessible from various points in the city. Follow the canal towpath, which will take you through some beautiful countryside and towards Stratford-upon-Avon. This journey will take several hours (approximately 4-5 hours), so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Once you reach Stratford-upon-Avon, follow the National Cycle Route 41 signs to the Big Wheel.
