The park’s origins date back around 100 years when Ernest Prosser, a former owner and railway director, laid out the upper park. His vision took advantage of the gentle valley carved by the Nant Fawr stream, creating tumbling streams, ponds, and winding paths that remain central to the park’s character.

Parc Cefn Onn is open daily from 7am until 30 minutes before sunset, with free entry and parking available on site. The park is wheelchair accessible, and two Tramper mobility vehicles are available for hire by reservation, enhancing access for visitors with limited mobility. While there is no on-site café, the park’s peaceful environment and natural beauty encourage visitors to bring their own refreshments.
