Walking
From Cardiff city centre, start at Cardiff Central Station. Exit the station and walk towards St. Mary Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A470. Cross the road and head towards the Cardiff Bay area. Follow the signs directing you to Cardiff Bay, passing the Millennium Centre on your left. Once you reach the waterfront, continue along the path towards the barrage. The Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks are located at the end of the barrage walkway. You will be able to see the locks as you approach.

Public Transport
From Cardiff Central Station, take the Cardiff Bay train from Platform 1. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Disembark at Cardiff Bay station. From there, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs for the barrage. Walk along the promenade towards the Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks, which are located at the end of the barrage walkway. The locks are clearly visible as you approach.

Cycling
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Cardiff city centre and head towards the Cardiff Bay area. Follow the dedicated cycle paths that lead to the waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, cycle along the barrage path towards the Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks. The locks will be situated at the end of the barrage, easily accessible by bike.
