To reach Folly Castle from the city center of Derry, start by heading to the Foyle Street bus station. Look for bus services heading towards Donegal. You can take bus number 64 or 64A. The journey will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest stop to Folly Castle, exit the bus and walk in the direction of the castle. Follow the signs for Folly Castle, which is located at VCFF+HV, Magherahann Upper, Co. Donegal.

If you prefer walking and are starting from Derry city center, head towards the River Foyle and cross the pedestrian bridge. Continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the junction with the A2 road. Turn left onto the A2 and follow it until you reach the sign for Folly Castle. The walk is about 7 miles and will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, so be prepared for a longer trek.
