If you are starting from Durham Cathedral, exit the cathedral grounds and head towards the Palace Green. Walk straight down the path towards the Old Elvet. Continue on the path until you reach the bridge. Cross the River Wear using the Framwellgate Bridge. Once across the river, turn left and follow the riverbank path until you reach the Millenium Bridge. From there, walk towards the city center, passing the scenic views along the river.
