From the city center, head to the bus stop at St Andrew Square. Take the Lothian Bus number 33 or 49 towards Dalkeith. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Dalkeith King's Gate' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Dalkeith Country Park. Head south on King's Gate for approximately 5 minutes, and the park entrance will be on your right.

Make your way to Waverley Station in the city center. Take a train towards Edinburgh Waverley to Dalkeith. The train ride takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Dalkeith station, exit the station and turn right on Station Road. Continue onto King's Gate, and after about a 10-minute walk, you will reach the entrance to Dalkeith Country Park.
