Walking
Start at Inverness city center. Head south on Academy Street towards the river. Cross the bridge over the River Ness and continue straight onto the B9006 road. Follow this road for approximately 2.5 miles (about 40 minutes on foot). You will pass through residential areas and some open fields. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Culloden Battlefield as you approach your destination. Cumberland Stone is located on the B9006, just next to the battlefield area, approximately 0.5 miles from the Culloden Visitor Centre.

From Inverness city center, walk to the Bus Station on Margaret Street. Take the Stagecoach Bus number 6 towards Fort Augustus. The bus will take you along the B9006 road. Get off at the stop closest to Culloden Battlefield. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to Cumberland Stone. Head south on the B9006 and look for the stone on your right side.

If you are renting a bicycle, start from the city center and head south towards the River Ness. Follow the riverside path until you reach the B9006 road. Turn left onto B9006 and cycle for about 2.5 miles. The route is fairly flat and will take you around 15-20 minutes.
