If you're traveling by car, start from Stornoway, the largest town on the Isle of Lewis. Head south on the A857 towards the village of Laxdale. After approximately 6 miles, follow the signs to the A859, which will take you west towards Carloway. Continue on the A859 for about 10 miles until you reach Carloway. Once in the village, take a left turn onto the B8011 road. Follow this road for about 1 mile until you see the signs for Dun Carloway Broch, which will be on your right. There is parking available nearby.

For public transportation, you can take a bus from Stornoway to Carloway. The bus services are operated by Western Isles Council and the route is typically number 10 or 11. Make sure to check the current timetable for the most accurate schedule. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Carloway, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along the B8011 road in the direction of the broch. Follow the signs for Dun Carloway Broch. There may be a small fee for the bus ride, usually around £4 for a single journey.
