Car
From Stornoway, head northwest on the A857 road. Continue on the A857 for about 11 miles until you reach the junction with the A859 road. Turn left onto the A859 and drive for approximately 5 miles. At the next major junction, take a right onto the B8011 road towards Shawbost. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you see signs for Shawbost Beach. There is a small parking area near the beach where you can leave your car.

From Stornoway, take the bus service operated by Western Isles Bus (Route 3 or 5) towards Barvas. The bus will take you along the A857. You need to get off at the Shawbost stop. From the bus stop, it is about a 15-minute walk to Shawbost Beach. Simply follow the signs leading towards the beach, which is located to the northwest of the village.
