If you're traveling by car, you can reach the Mcindoe Stones located in Garenin, Isle of Lewis HS2 9AL quite easily. Start your journey from Stornoway, the largest town on the Isle of Lewis. Head west on the A857 road towards Barvas. Continue on the A857 for about 15 miles until you reach the junction with the A858. Turn left onto the A858 and follow the signs for Garenin. After approximately 5 miles, you'll arrive in Garenin. Look for parking areas near the Mcindoe Stones, as there may not be designated parking directly at the site. The site itself is just a short walk from the parking area.

If you prefer to use public transportation, you will need to take a bus from Stornoway. The local bus service, operated by Western Isles Buses, runs routes to various areas on the Isle of Lewis. Check the schedule for the bus that heads towards Barvas or Garenin. The journey may take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Garenin, you may need to walk a short distance (about 0.5 miles) to reach the Mcindoe Stones. It's advisable to check the bus schedules in advance for return times, as service may be limited, especially in the evenings.
