Origins and Medieval Foundations

Hornby Castle's origins trace back to the 12th and 13th centuries, when it was initially established by the Neville family on the foundations of an earlier medieval structure. The Nevilles, prominent players in the War of the Roses, made the castle their home until the 1500s.
