The Comedy Carpet Travel Guide

The Comedy Carpet is a monumental public artwork located on Blackpool's Tower Festival Headland, directly opposite the famous Blackpool Tower. Unveiled in 2011 by comedian Ken Dodd, it spans approximately 2,200 square meters and is one of the largest pieces of public art ever commissioned in the UK. The carpet celebrates the rich tradition of British comedy, immortalizing jokes, catchphrases, and names from over 1,000 comedians and comedy writers, many of whom have performed in Blackpool, a historic entertainment hub.
