If you're driving from Edinburgh, take the A7 south towards Gorebridge. After about 10 miles, you will reach Gorebridge. Once in Gorebridge, follow the signs for the B7039. After approximately 1 mile, turn onto Unnamed Road. Newbyres Castle will be located on your right. Parking is available near the castle.

To reach Newbyres Castle by public transport, start by taking a train from Edinburgh Waverley Station to Gorebridge. The journey takes around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Gorebridge, exit the station and walk towards the B7039 road. Follow the B7039 for about 15 minutes until you reach Unnamed Road. Turn onto Unnamed Road, and Newbyres Castle will be on your right. Be sure to check the train schedule for the latest timings.
