Geordie culture with a pasty and a pint
Anna is an excellent tour guide with outstanding insight into Geordie culture. We especially enjoyed hearing about Geordie heroes such as Stephenson, Armstrong and Grey (to mention just a few). A lovely stroll from the Central Station, to the Stephenson’s Quarter, Quayside, the castle, the Bigg Market and Grainger Town, making time for a pint and a pasty.

Highlight of our exploration of Newcastle
My extended family planned a trip to see our ancestor's homes and shops in Newcastle before they emigrated to the US long ago. First, Newcastle is a wonderful city, amazing architecture and history inhabited with consistently friendly people wherever we went, a hidden gem in the UK. Luckily after much research, we settled on "Northern Secrets" to help plan our trip. Alex Jacobs briefed us through the options and connected us with Anna Unger, her tour was the highlight or our trip. Anna was historically knowledgeable, funny, and well researched for the few specific things we mentioned of interest. When it drizzled a bit we tucked in for hot chocolate and cappuccinos. And then back out again for the adventure. We are going back!
