The interior strikes a balance between traditional pub character and comfortable dining space. The establishment welcomes families during appropriate hours and maintains an inclusive approach to its clientele. The atmosphere is notably lively, particularly during peak service times, creating an energetic environment that appeals to those seeking social engagement alongside quality food and drink.

The Steam Packet operates with extended hours throughout the week, opening from midday on weekends and from mid-afternoon on weekdays, with late-night service available on Fridays and Saturdays.
