Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the A7 from your current location in Scotland. Follow the A7 south until you reach Selkirk. As you approach Selkirk, look for signs directing you towards the town center. Once in Selkirk, navigate to the postcode TD7 5EU. Newark Castle is located just on the outskirts of the town.   To reach Newark Castle by train, you can take a train to Selkirk Station. Depending on your starting location, you may need to connect via larger stations such as Edinburgh or Tweedbank. Upon arrival at Selkirk Station, it's approximately a 20-minute walk to Newark Castle. Head northwest on Station Road, then turn left onto the A7 towards the town center. Once you reach Selkirk, following signs to Newark Castle will guide you to your destination.

  For those using public transportation, several bus services connect to Selkirk. Check local bus schedules for routes that will take you to Selkirk, such as the Borders Buses service. Once you arrive at Selkirk bus station, Newark Castle is a short walk away. Head towards the town center, following local signage. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes.

  If you prefer a more direct route without walking, consider taking a taxi from Selkirk Station or the town center directly to Newark Castle.
