Getting There

  • Walking

    From the City Centre, head towards the main thoroughfare, West Street. You can start at the intersection of Fargate and West Street. Walk along West Street towards the west until you reach the junction with Glossop Road. Turn left onto Glossop Road and continue walking straight until you see the entrance to the Botanical Gardens on your right. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

    To take a bus from the City Centre, head to the nearest bus stop along Charter Square. Look for bus routes 51, 52, or 75 which head towards Broomhall. Board the bus and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop closest to the Botanical Gardens. The journey will take around 10-15 minutes, and the bus fare is approximately £2.00 for a single journey.

    From the City Centre, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is at the Cathedral. Take the tram on the Blue route towards Malin Bridge. Alight at the stop called 'Shalesmoor'.
