    If you are traveling by car, start from Cardiff city center. Head south on the A4232 towards Barry. Continue on the A4232, following the signs for Penarth. Take the exit towards the A4055 for Penarth/Sully. Merge onto the A4055 and follow it until you reach Lavernock Road. Turn right onto Lavernock Road, and the entrance to Cosmeston Lakes Country Park will be on your left. There is free parking available on site.

  • Train and Bus

    If you prefer public transport, take a train from Cardiff Central Station to Penarth Station. The journey takes about 10 minutes. From Penarth Station, you can catch the 92 bus towards Barry at the bus stop outside the station. Get off the bus at the stop for Lavernock Road. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of Cosmeston Lakes Country Park. Be sure to check the train and bus schedules in advance, as service times may vary.

  • Walking from Penarth

    If you are already in Penarth, you can walk to Cosmeston Lakes Country Park. From the town center, head towards the coast and follow the signs for Lavernock. It’s approximately a 30-minute walk (about 1.5 miles). Follow the main road until you reach Lavernock Road, where you’ll see the entrance to the park.
