If you're driving from Cardiff, take the A470 north. Continue on the A470 for approximately 22 miles. As you approach Merthyr Tydfil, take the exit towards A465/Merthyr Tydfil and merge onto the A465. Follow the signs for Merthyr Tydfil. Once in the town, follow the signs for Aberfan. Turn left onto Moy Rd, and you will find the Aberfan Disaster Memorial on your right.

Once you arrive at Merthyr Tydfil Station, exit the station and take the bus number 60 towards Aberfan. This bus will take you directly to Aberfan. Get off at the Aberfan Memorial stop, and the Aberfan Disaster Memorial is a short walk down Moy Rd.
