My partner and I visited The Lost Close for our first-ever whisky tasting, and we had such a fantastic time! From start to finish, the experience was fun, engaging, and memorable. A huge thank you to Mark, who led our group. He was brilliant—knowledgeable, entertaining, and had everyone laughing while making the tasting enjoyable and relaxed. The Lost Close itself is such a unique and quirky venue, which made the whole experience even more special. We’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh, whether you’re a whisky enthusiast or trying it for the first time like we were. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Fine introduction to Scottish culture

This is a super enjoyable experience, whether you're an experienced whisky drinker or not. Our host, John, clearly loves what he does. His enthusiasm is infectious and his hospitality genuine. I've drunk whisky for many years and have done tastings before. Yet, I highly recommend this experience as an interesting way to learn about the whisky trade and, more generally, Scottish culture. Ahh, and the drams tasted were very good! Very recommended.
