    From the center of Sutherland, head northeast on the A9 towards Tain. Continue on the A9 for approximately 36 miles (58 km). Take the exit onto the A836 towards Lairg/Ardgay. After about 7 miles (11 km), turn left onto the B9176 towards Culrain. Follow this road for about 2 miles (3.2 km) until you reach Carbisdale Castle, which will be on your left. There is free parking available on-site.

    If you are using public transportation, take a train from Inverness to Ardgay station. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving at Ardgay station, you will need to take a taxi to Carbisdale Castle, which is roughly 3 miles (5 km) away. Taxis can usually be booked in advance or found at the station.
