Car
Driving from Edinburgh, the zoo is approximately a 25-minute journey west via the M8 and A71. Free car parking is available on-site, including disabled parking. Note that the access road has some steep slopes, so drive carefully.

Local bus services connect West Calder to Livingston and Edinburgh. From West Calder town center, a taxi or a 30-minute walk on mixed terrain leads to the zoo entrance. Bus travel time from Edinburgh is around 45-60 minutes, with fares typically between £5-£8.
