By Car
From the M4 motorway, exit at Junction 15 and follow signs toward Windsor town centre. The journey typically takes 15–25 minutes depending on traffic. Drive toward Goswell Hill in the town centre. Q-Park Windsor Yards car park is directly adjacent to Windsor Royal Station on Charles Street, offering 744 spaces with hourly rates of £1.80 (up to 1 hour), £3.60 (up to 2 hours), £5.50 (up to 3 hours), £7.50 (up to 4 hours), and £24.00 for 24-hour parking. The car park is currently undergoing refurbishment; expect potential minor disruptions. EV charging points are available on Level 1.
By Bus
First Group operates multiple bus routes serving Windsor town centre, with the nearest stop on Charles Street, a short walk from Windsor Royal Station. Journey times from surrounding areas typically range from 20–40 minutes depending on your starting point. First Day tickets offer unlimited travel on First buses and coaches within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. For timetables and enquiries, contact First Group at 0871 200 2233. Coach groups can use Windsor Coach Park, which has 74 spaces and is located close to the centre.
By Train
Windsor & Eton Central Station and Windsor & Eton Riverside Station are both within a 5–10 minute walk of Windsor Royal Station. From London Waterloo, the journey takes approximately 50 minutes. From Reading, the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Exit the station and follow signs toward the town centre and Goswell Hill.
By Taxi
Taxis are available from the rank outside Windsor Castle on the High Street, approximately 5 minutes' walk from Windsor Royal Station. A convenient taxi drop-off point is located on Charles Street, directly next to the entrance of Windsor Royal Station.
