Getting There

    If you are starting from York Minster, exit the Minster grounds and head south on Minster Yard. Continue straight onto Ogleforth, then take a left onto Goodramgate. Walk straight along Goodramgate, which will turn into Coppergate. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto Museum Street. The Museum Gardens will be on your left after a short walk.

    From York Railway Station, exit the station and turn left onto Station Road. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with Leeman Road. Cross the road and continue straight onto Nunnery Lane. Keep walking until you reach the junction with Museum Street. Turn left onto Museum Street, and the Museum Gardens will be on your right.

    If you are at the Shambles, walk east along the Shambles street until you reach the junction with Pavement. Turn left onto Pavement and continue straight until you reach the junction with St. Sampson's Square. From there, take a right onto Stonegate and proceed to the end of the street where it meets Lendal. Cross Lendal and walk straight onto Museum Street. The Museum Gardens will be ahead on your left.

    Take any local bus that heads towards the city center. Get off at the 'Museum Gardens' stop. From there, you can easily walk into the gardens as they will be right in front of you.
