Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from York Minster, exit the Minster grounds and head south on Minster Yard. Continue straight onto Duncombe Place and then take a right onto High Ousegate. Walk until you reach the junction with Coney Street, where you will turn left. Continue on Coney Street until you reach the bridge over the River Ouse. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Bridge Street. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Micklegate. Continue straight until you reach the Shambles. Turn right onto the Shambles and walk until you see The Potions Cauldron at 9¾, Shambles, York YO1 7LZ.

• Walking

  If you are starting from the York Railway Station, exit the station and head directly south toward Station Road. Turn left on Station Road and walk until you reach the intersection with Blossom Street. Cross the street and continue straight onto George Hudson Street. Follow this road as it curves and turns into the city center. Continue straight into the city until you reach the area of Parliament Street. From Parliament Street, turn left onto the Shambles, and The Potions Cauldron will be on your right at 9¾, Shambles, York YO1 7LZ.

• Walking

  If you are starting from the York Castle Museum, exit the museum and head northeast on Tower Street. Continue straight onto the footpath toward the city center. Upon reaching the traffic lights, cross over and head toward the entrance of the Shambles. Walk straight along the Shambles and The Potions Cauldron will be on your left at 9¾, Shambles, York YO1 7LZ.

• Walking

  From the York Tourist Information Centre, exit and head south on Museum Street. Walk straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn left onto St. Leonard's Place. Continue on this road as it leads into the city center until you reach the Shambles. Turn right onto the Shambles and walk until you spot The Potions Cauldron at 9¾, Shambles, York YO1 7LZ.
