If you are starting from York Minster, exit the Minster grounds and head down Minster Yard towards the main street, Deangate. Turn left onto Deangate and continue straight until you reach St. Leonard’s Place. From there, turn right onto Duncombe Place. Follow the road as it becomes Museum Street. Keep walking until you reach the end of Museum Street, where it intersects with Tower Street. Turn left onto Tower Street, and the York Castle Museum will be on your right, just a short walk away.
