Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the York Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Station Road). Turn left onto the road and continue straight until you reach the traffic lights. Cross the road and follow the signs towards the city center. Continue straight onto Lendal Bridge, which will lead you directly to Museum Gardens. From Museum Gardens, walk towards the entrance of York Minster, which is located on Deangate. The Minster will be on your right.

From the York city center (Parliament Street), head south towards St. Helen's Square. Once you reach the square, turn right onto Duncombe Place. Continue straight until you see the entrance to York Minster on your left, just off Deangate. Keep an eye out for the iconic tower as you approach.

If you are near the city center, you can catch the 'Park and Ride' bus service from any of the designated stops. Board the bus that is heading towards the city center and get off at the 'Museum Gardens' stop. From there, walk towards the entrance of York Minster, which is located on Deangate. The Minster will be prominent and easy to spot as you approach.

If you are at the York Castle Museum, exit the museum and turn right onto Tower Street. Walk straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn left onto St. Leonard's Place. Continue on St. Leonard's Place until you reach the traffic lights, then cross over to the other side. Follow the signs towards York Minster, which will be a short walk down Deangate on your right.
