    From Artigas, head south on Route 30 towards the city of Salto. After approximately 85 kilometers, merge onto Route 3 towards Montevideo. Continue for about 400 kilometers until you reach Montevideo. Once in Montevideo, follow signs for the city center and then for Cerro de Montevideo. The Fortaleza del Cerro is located at José Batlle y Ordóñez S/N. There is a parking area available nearby.

    From the central bus terminal in Artigas, purchase a ticket to Montevideo. Several companies operate this route, and the journey takes approximately 6 to 7 hours. Once you arrive at the Tres Cruces Terminal in Montevideo, you can take a taxi or local bus.
