By Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in the Central Region and head towards the capital, Montevideo. Use Route 1 to connect to Route 5, which will lead you directly into the city. Once in Montevideo, follow the signs toward Cerro de Montevideo. Once you reach Avenida de las Instrucciones, turn onto José Batlle y Ordóñez, and continue straight until you arrive at Fortaleza del Cerro, located at José Batlle y Ordóñez S/N. Parking is available in the vicinity, but be cautious of parking regulations. Fuel costs depend on your starting point and vehicle efficiency.
By Public Transportation
To reach Fortaleza del Cerro using public transportation, travel to Montevideo's Tres Cruces Terminal. From there, take a bus that heads towards Cerro, such as lines 85 or 113.
