Car
If you are traveling by car, start from any location in the Central Region and navigate to Route 1 (Ruta 1) towards Colonia. Follow Route 1 for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach Colonia del Sacramento. Once you arrive in Colonia, look for signs directing you to the old town (Ciudad Vieja). When you enter the historic area, use your GPS or map app to find the coordinates G4GX+JMP. You will find San Miguel Bastion nearby, which is a short walk from the main square.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach San Miguel Bastion via public transportation, you can take a bus from Montevideo to Colonia del Sacramento. Buses depart frequently from the Tres Cruces Terminal in Montevideo and take approximately 2 hours. You will need to purchase a ticket at the terminal, with prices ranging from 250 to 500 Uruguayan Pesos, depending on the bus company.
