Turn onto Route 21 and follow the signs towards Rocha. After approximately 43 km, you will see signs for Fuerte San Miguel. Turn left onto the access road leading to the fort. There is parking available on site, and no additional costs are incurred for parking.
Public Transportation
To get to Fuerte San Miguel via public transportation, you can take a bus from Colonia to Rocha. The bus terminal in Colonia is located at Calle Artigas 10. Look for buses heading towards Rocha, which typically run several times a day. The bus journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on stops.
