Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Colonia del Sacramento. Head northeast on Av. General Flores towards Av. España. Continue straight onto Av. España, then merge onto Ruta 1. Follow Ruta 1 for approximately 178 km (about 2 hours and 15 minutes) until you reach Montevideo. Once in Montevideo, take the exit towards Av. 18 de Julio. Continue on Av. 18 de Julio until you reach Plaza Independencia. Palacio Salvo is located at Pl. Independencia 848, right at the plaza.

To reach Palacio Salvo using public transportation, take a bus from Colonia del Sacramento to Montevideo. Buses such as COT or Copsa operate on this route and typically take about 2 to 3 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for departure times. Once you arrive at the Tres Cruces Bus Terminal in Montevideo, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Plaza Independencia.
