Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Colonia del Sacramento. Head east on Avenida Artigas towards De San Pedro. Continue on De San Pedro for about 1.5 km. You will see San Miguel Bastion on your right at the coordinates G4GX+JMP. There is limited street parking available nearby, so be sure to check for any parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach San Miguel Bastion using public transportation, take a local bus from the central bus terminal in Colonia. Look for the bus line that heads towards the old town (Casco Histórico). Get off at the nearest stop to the waterfront area and then walk towards the east along the waterfront promenade. Continue walking along the waterfront for approximately 15 minutes until you reach De San Pedro street. San Miguel Bastion will be on your right. The bus fare is usually around 50 UYU (Uruguayan Pesos).
Walking
If you are already in the historic center of Colonia, you can easily walk to San Miguel Bastion. From the central square, head towards the waterfront. Walk along the promenade until you reach De San Pedro street, which should take about 10-15 minutes. Turn right onto De San Pedro, and you will find San Miguel Bastion on your right. This is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenic views of the river.
