Getting There

• Car

  If you have a car, start from the center of Cuchilla Grande. Head southeast on Route 10, also known as Ruta 10, which is a well-marked road. Continue on this route for approximately 25 kilometers. You will pass through a few small towns. Keep an eye out for signs directing you toward Laguna Garzon. Once you reach the area near the lagoon, look for the signs that will guide you to the parking area. Be aware that there may be a small parking fee, which is typically around 100 UYU (Uruguayan Pesos).

• Public Transportation

  To reach Laguna Garzon by public transportation, start at the main bus stop in Cuchilla Grande. Look for buses that head toward Garzón or those that travel along Route 10. The ride should take about 30 minutes, but be sure to check the bus schedule, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Laguna Garzon. The fare will be around 50 UYU. After disembarking, it's a short walk to the lagoon area.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Cuchilla Grande. Head out on Route 10, cycling southeast for about 25 kilometers. The route is relatively flat and offers scenic views. Make sure to wear a helmet and carry plenty of water, as there might not be many places to stop along the way. The bike rental cost is usually around 500 UYU for the day. Once you reach Laguna Garzon, you can lock your bike near the lagoon.
