If you're driving from the center of Durazno, head west on Ruta 5 towards Montevideo. Continue on Ruta 5 for about 160 kilometers. As you approach Montevideo, follow the signs to the city center. Once in the city, navigate towards Plaza Independencia. Palacio Salvo is located at Pl. Independencia 848, right next to the plaza. Parking can be found in nearby public lots, costing around 50 UYU per hour.

To reach Palacio Salvo via bus, you can catch a bus from Durazno's main bus terminal. Look for buses heading to Montevideo. The journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, with ticket prices around 300 UYU. Once you arrive at the Tres Cruces Bus Terminal in Montevideo, take a local bus or a taxi to Plaza Independencia. The local buses are inexpensive, around 40 UYU, and will take you directly to the plaza.
