From the center of Jose Ignacio, head southwest on Av. Del Mar towards Ruta 10. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Laguna Garzón Bridge on your left. Turn left onto Ruta 10, and the bridge will be approximately 5 kilometers ahead. There is no entry fee to access the bridge.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from the main bus terminal in Jose Ignacio that heads towards Punta del Este or Rocha. Ensure to ask the driver to drop you off at the Laguna Garzón area, as this may not be a direct route. The bus fare is approximately 50-100 UYU depending on the service. From the drop-off point, it is about a 15-minute walk to reach the Laguna Garzón Bridge.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Jose Ignacio. Head out of the town towards Ruta 10, which is about 10 kilometers away. Follow the same route as the car guidance. The ride is scenic, taking around 40-50 minutes depending on your speed. Ensure you have water and sun protection, as there are limited shaded areas.
Walking
For those adventurous enough, you can walk from Jose Ignacio to Laguna Garzón Bridge. The distance is roughly 15 kilometers and will take about 3-4 hours. Start on Av. Del Mar towards Ruta 10, and keep an eye out for signs. This route is not recommended for everyone due to the distance and limited roadside amenities.
