Car
If you are driving from Lavalleja, take Route 8 towards Maldonado. Drive for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction with Route 39. Take Route 39 towards Maldonado and continue for about 15 km. As you approach Maldonado, take the exit towards Av. Antonio Lussich. Once on Av. Antonio Lussich, continue straight for about 2 km until you see the entrance to Arboretum Lussich on your right. There is a parking area available at the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Arboretum Lussich via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Lavalleja to Maldonado. Buses run regularly from the Lavalleja bus terminal to the Maldonado terminal. After arriving in Maldonado, you can take a taxi or a local bus that goes towards Av. Antonio Lussich. Make sure to ask the bus driver to let you know when to get off. The Arboretum is located approximately 2 km from the Maldonado bus terminal on Av. Antonio Lussich. Taxi fares from the terminal to the Arboretum typically range from 200 to 300 Uruguayan pesos.
Taxi
If you prefer a direct route without public transport schedules, you can take a taxi from Lavalleja straight to Arboretum Lussich. This option will be more expensive, typically costing around 1,500 to 2,000 Uruguayan pesos, depending on traffic and time of day. The taxi driver will take the same route as if you were driving yourself.
